John C. Nulsen, M.D.

Director and a lead physician at The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services, Dr. Nulsen is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. He has specialized in Reproductive Endocrinology since 1987 and has been Director of The Center’s IVF Program since 1990. Dr. Nulsen founded and is the Director of The Center’s donor egg program, which was responsible for the first successful donor egg conception in New England in 1987.

He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1980 and completed his residency and fellowship training as well as a year of research in reproductive biology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Nulsen has been selected annually since 2004 by the Consumers’ Research Council in America to be included in their annual “Editions of the Guide to America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists.”  Additionally, he has been selected annually by Best Doctors as one of “America’s Best Doctors in America” since 2007. Dr. Nulsen has been selected by Connecticut Magazine’s “Top Doctors for Women” in 2006 and 2009. Additionally, Dr. Nulsen has been selected by Hartford Magazine as one of the Greater Hartford’s Top Docs in 2007 through 2009, was awarded as one of  ”America’s Top Doctors” and as one of Connecticut Magazine’s “Top Doctors for Women.” He was also selected as one of “America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists” in 2004-2005.

In addition to being a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Chief of Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility as the UConn Health Center, Dr. Nulsen is involved in all aspects of fertility treatments with special interests in endoscopic surgery, ovulation induction, IVF and egg donation. Dr. Nulsen continues to be actively involved in clinical research in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
